Participation does not have to mean running a regenerative farm. It can mean learning a skill. Walking a piece of land with new attention. Meeting the animals. Trying an old practice. Asking a better question. Or simply spending time with people doing the work in community.

Workshops, tours & gatherings
We hold occasional classes and gatherings around biodynamics, grafting, native foods, woodland cultivation, fiber, farm skills, and learning by doing.
Come walk the land, meet the animals, put your hands on the work, ask questions, and spend time with other people who are curious about the same things.

The Week Above the Farm
The celestial calendar belongs to the practice side of Dark Hollow. It follows the astronomical conditions above the farm and then offers the biodynamic interpretation we use as one layer of attention in the field.
It is not an events calendar. Weather, soil, crop condition, and direct observation still have the final word.

Participation can be small.
Plant something. Learn a name. Buy from a small farm. Make compost. Grow a native perennial food. Learn where water moves after rain. Keep bees. Spin wool. Read an old idea and test it against the world.

Dark Hollow is a working home-scale farmstead rather than a farm that is continuously open to the public. The best ways to visit are through scheduled workshops, tours, gatherings, and other events announced on our Participate page and calendar.

Yes. Dark Hollow hosts and participates in workshops, farm tours, educational gatherings, and other opportunities to learn through direct experience. Topics can include biodynamics, agroforestry, native and perennial foods, woodland plants, animals, and the practical work of caring for a living landscape.

How can I participate if I don’t live nearby?
You do not have to visit the farm to participate in the work. You can follow our writing on Substack, explore farm goods and field guides, or invite Dark Hollow into a conversation, presentation, or event. You can also carry some of the questions and practices into the place where you already live.
