Observation

Canada wild lettuce (Lactuca canadensis) appears freely along Dark Hollow’s sunny woodland edges and disturbed ground. When cut, its stems produce a milky latex characteristic of wild lettuces. This native plant has a history of traditional use, particularly as an infusion for pain and to calm the nerves.
