Join us at Dark Hollow Biodynamic and immerse yourself in a one-hour walking farm tour that showcases our “wild and uncommon” approach to agriculture.
Event Highlights:
Biodynamic Practices: Discover the principles and practices that define biodynamic farming. Learn how we nurture the land using methods that promote ecological balance and sustainability.
Icelandic Sheep: Meet our herd of wild and uncommon Icelandic sheep. Understand their role in our farming ecosystem and why these hardy animals are perfect for our forest/land management and biodynamic practices.
Forest-Grown Delicacies: Explore our forest-grown fruits, mushrooms, and medicinal plants. See firsthand how we cultivate these natural treasures in harmony with the surrounding woodland. Pennsylvania wild paw paw and other forest grown goods may be available for tasting and purchase.
Biodynamic Agriculture Insight: Gain valuable insights into biodynamic agriculture from one of Central PA’s burgeoning biodynamic farms. Understand how this approach differs from conventional farming and its benefits to the environment and human health.
This event also coincides with the Michaelmas festival, a significant celebration for anthroposophists and biodynamic practitioners worldwide. Michaelmas marks a time of inner strength and courage, themes that resonate deeply with our farming philosophy.
Come celebrate the wild and uncommon with us and leave inspired by the potential of biodynamic farming to heal and rejuvenate our planet. Whether you’re a seasoned farmer, a curious gardener, or someone interested in sustainable living, this event promises to offer valuable knowledge and inspiration.
We look forward to welcoming you to Dark Hollow Biodynamic for a day of learning, celebration, and connection with nature.
