We Grow
Icelandic Wool
We have a small flock of Icelandic sheep that graze under the forest canopy and in our silvopasture. Our sheep get two haircuts a year producing beautiful fleeces.
Forest Foraging
Under our forest canopy, we are stewarding plants that have been traditionally used as herbal medicine. We also make spices from native plants like spicebush and sassafras.
Biodynamic Preparations
We currently produce six biodynamic preparations on-farm and try to make these available for those who want to try biodynamics in their gardens or on their farms.
Regenerative Farm Experiences
Farm experiences include walking tours, biodynamic educational opportunities and occasional community dinners.
What is Biodynamics?
Biodynamic agriculture is a method of farming that views the farm as a self-contained organism, where all elements work together in harmony to create a healthy and sustainable ecosystem. This approach to farming has a long history, dating back to the early 20th century.
Rudolf Steiner Rudolf Steiner, an Austrian philosopher and scientist, is credited with developing the principles of biodynamic agriculture. In 1924, he gave a series of lectures to farmers in Germany, which formed the basis of his approach to agriculture.
